Job Summary

Helps the manager in devising plans that will be useful to the business’ success.

The assistant operations manager makes sure that the company uses those plans and puts them into action.

Also, he is required to help in the planning and operation of Exhibitions and he assists in Technical, operational and onsite jobs.

 

Major Duties and Responsibilities

  • You must master the English language, urge all work in English
  • And also mastering Excel, as there are weekly (financial) and (follow-up) reports.
  • The assistant operations manager’s main task is to assist the operations manager in floor marking for each show, checking floor plan.
  • He helps in the decision-making when it comes to the activities done in the office, such as production, the resale and the allocation of sources.
  • Under the manager’s supervision, the assistant operations manager coordinates with the different departments in their organization to ensure that all tasks executed are of best quality.
  • To deliver projects assigned by the Exhibition Operations Manager.
  • To be responsible for the presentation of the Exhibition including promoting and responding to the Standards program, reporting all faults and maintenance issues to the Facilities Department via the intranet system provided or direct report if necessary.
  • Assist in planning, managing and control the budget for executing the operations and logistical requirements for the exhibitions.
  • Create and devise innovative and cost-efficient solutions to operational issues and show presentation format.
  • Ensure expenditure is planned, managed and controlled within the appropriate limits laid down in the business plan.
  • Meet regularly with all relevant contractors and suppliers to ensure that services are provided as required.
  • Follow & implement company Policies & Procedures.
  • Continually seek opportunities to develop self and if applicable subordinates.
  • Implement any other duties as assigned by the Department Head.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • diploma
  • Prefer those with a bachelor’s degree in management operations, business administration and other management-related fields
